This graph posits a relationship between the 'Importance of rational discussion' and the level of harmony in the system. If the situation is percieved to be one of discrete entities as in the flat plane assumed by some post structuralists (ref) then there is no point as there is no basis for rational values (at least via empirical truth claims). If there is union, there is no potential for conflict, harmony will emerge of itself given space. Between the two the possiblity of communication and harmony is acknowledged but some work is needed to get there.... via the building of structures of rational discussion ... how do these structures relate to space for emergence?
