Re Human Meaning - And Abstract Data

Re : Issue that is abstraction - eg Exclusion  (Foucault) via binary data not human contact e.g.  re example of :

Paul Grüninger, a Swiss police commander,   helped Jewish refugees flee Austria in 1938. 
Instead of treating the individuals as a number, and abstraction and  deferring responsibility  to another person (today that would probably be via a database)
he talked directly to the refugees and decided to help them...
